The Giants were members of the Eastern Colored League from 1924 through 1927, finishing in second place during their best season (1925).

The Giants featured two of Negro League baseball’s greatest stars during their stay in Harrisburg. Hall-of-Famer Oscar Charleston (arguably the Negro Leagues’ greatest all-round player) served as player-manager of the club. The team also featured John Beckwith, one of black baseball’s most prodigious hitters, at third base.
