On July 4, 1919 a baseball game was played in Everett, Massachusetts between the Cuban Giants and the Everett City Team. This game was the feature event of a weekend celebration to officially welcome the troops home from WWI. This was the only event for which there was a charge. Admission was the astronomical sum of fifty cents, which was signifcant when you consider that $22 was considered a healthy weekly salary.

I found a news report of the game but it is basically just the box score and includes no first names. Everett won the game 3-2. The Everett Team included some of the players from the 1914 National Champion EHS Football Team called the "Greatest High School Football Team Ever". The Team had a record of 13-0-0, scoring 600 points while holding its opponents to "0".

Can anyone tell me anything about the members of the Cuban Giants? We would like to commerate this event on the spot where the game was played.

Here is the line up for the Giants.

Ramirez cf
Drake lf
Rojo 1b
Fernandez c
Feran 3b
Chacon ss (Pelayo Chacon?)
Crespo 2b (Alejandro Crespo?)
Lucas rf
Padron p

What ever you can tell me would be most helpful.
Thanks
