Negro League Baseball Discussion Forum: Former Players – Information Exchange: Ernest Westfield

Does anyone have any information on a former Negro League player by the name of Ernest Westfield? I have heard that he played with the Birmingham Black Barons. My guess is that he would have played towards the end of the league, mid to late 40s or 50s. I have looked in the Biographical Negro League Encyclopedia and in the SABR Negro Leagues book, but did not see an entry in either one.

My Dad played for the Black Barons in 1948 and 1954. I will see him next week and will ask him if he knows of Ernest Westfield.
