My Grandfather played in the Negro Leagues. I'm not sure what years. I think in the 20's, 30's, and 40's off and on. his name was Hipolito Arenas. He also went by Torrento Arenas. At one time my Grandmother did have newspaper article with his stats from some of the games he played. He mostly "Barnstormed," but he did play with the Atlanta Blackcrackers.
I would like to know if anyone can tell me how I can find some of the small, Black newspapers from the before mentioned years, or any other sources and information on my Grandfather.
