Negro League Baseball Discussion Forum: Former Players – Information Exchange: Homestead Gray Grandfather 1919-1925

I am curious. My grandfather played for the Homestead Grays from 1919 through 1925. His name was Forrest N. Mashaw, Sr. and I think he wore number 63. Anyway, I have a Player's wife merit award, a big heavy brass plate approximately 7in. inscribed with the information above. I also remember a large Homestead Grays team photo (1ft. x 2ft.)and another trophy award type brass baseball that were at my grandmother's house, but are now lost.
I never see his name included in anyone's Negro League books/data. How can I get that corrected?

The Steel Industry Heritage Corp./Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area and the Borough of Homestead will be dedicating a Historic Marker honoring the Homestead Grays on September 27, 2000, (11:00 am), in Homestead, PA.
The Pittsburgh Pirates will also be taking part in the festivities.
