Ron: Dick "Cannonball" Redding was a pitcher, outfielder and manager from 1911-38. Articles that would give you insight would be:John Miller's "The Ballplayers" by Arbor House (1990); John Evers "Biographical Dictionary of American Sports: Baseball", Greenwood Press (1987) and John Holway's "Blackball Stars: Negro League Pioneers" Meckler Books (1998). All three contain chapters on your great uncle. He began with the Lincoln Giants of New York in 1911. Pete Sandman
