Just thought I'd pass along the info that some other players have passed away in the past few months. Albert Frazier died in 8/99, Lonnie Summers died around the same time, Jehosie Heard died just before Thanksgiving, and Fran Mathews passed sometime in the fall. I hate to see these guys go; I consider them a treasure that can't be replaced.
Also, Mr. Rufus Lewis is gravely ill.
If anyone else knows of other recent player deaths, please let me know, as I try to keep up on the players as much as possible.

If the death of Jehosie Heard is true it saddens me because he was a team mate and a friend of my fathers in the Negro Leagues, and in the minor leagues. To give an example of the type of person he was, when i was a toddler and traveling with my father, between innings he would sit me on his knee and sing to me. Those type of memories I'll always cherish.
