there was a player who hit 975 home runs and died @ the age of 36 from a brain tumor. does anyone know who this is so i can find a bio?

My guess is that this question is referring to Josh Gibson. Josh Gibson and Satchel Paige are probably the two most famous players from the Negro Leagues. You should be able to find information about them at the local library or doing a general search on the Internet.
