A number of people have inquired about authenticating Negro League player autographs on balls and other memorabilia. Since we aren't experts on the subject (gee, we're not even novices), we've not been able to be of much help. Now, however, there is a new book that profiles the careers of more than 200 former Negro League players and provides examples of their signatures. Autograph collectors should find this a welcome tool in evaluating autographed items.
The book is titled, Negro League Baseball Autograph Guide, and was written by Kevin Keating and Mike Kolleth.

Hi Everyone,
I have this book and recommend it to all interested. The only small negative comment i have is the announcements of a players death date. I wish they would have put the exact date the person died. I know in some cases it is hard, but for the recent deaths, it shouldn't be too difficult to do…I need some help if anyone would care to aid me in finding some death dates for the following players.
Wild Bill Wright
Martinez "Skippy" Jackson
Gene Baker
Edsall Walker
Frazier Robinson…is he deceased?

We are photographer and writer/researcher looking for living players and participants in early Negro League Baseball within a five-hundred mile radius of Atlanta, GA, to photograph for historic b&w gallery display, on club level, at major southeast regional baseball stadium. This project must be in the can by mid-June. I would delight in speaking or messaging with anyone who cares to respond.
