Birmingham Plans Fourth Annual Rickwood Classic
Former Negro League stars to be honored May 16th.

The Friends of Rickwood Field are pleased to announce that the Fourth Annual Rickwood Classic will be held on Sunday, May 16, 1999, at Rickwood Field, America’s oldest baseball park, and will be centered around a Birmingham Black Barons and Negro Leagues tribute.
This great family event will include the publication of a BBB history, participation from the Alabama Negro League Players Association, an exhibit of Negro League photographs and artifacts, as well as an auction of reproduction uniforms worn by Rickwood Classic participants.
